Harar Longberry, an arabica coffee grown in the region of Harar in Ethiopia's Eastern Highlands, is perhaps the oldest bean still being produced. Grown at around 2,000m above sea level, these sun-dried beans come in a distinct pointed shape and golden colour, and are sorted and processed almost entirely by hand by skilled and knowledgeable workers. Harar beans can be divided in three categories, and it is the Longberry variety that is both the largest, and considered to be the finest. When roasted, the beans reveal wonderful flavours of fruity wine and mocha, and create superb, full-bodied drinks. Our Harar Longberry is a mild coffee that carries a medium acidity, making it perfect for cafetiere use and for all your favourite filter coffees. Based on the characteristics of this variety, you might also like to try our Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.
